IF LIFE SEEMS OVERWHELMING

If life seems overwhelming

You've not taken on enough

And however tough you think you are,

You're made of sterner stuff.

If it all seems dark and daunting

Remember only this:

The darkness lies below you

As you fly over the abyss.

If you find yourself bemoaning

A vexed and dismal night

Reflect that come the morning

It will all come out all right.

If you feel yourself beset

By constantly stifled panic,

You're just too big for the eggshell

Of this frail and tiny planet.
